What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is after 4:00pm. Check-out is before 10:00am. If you are arriving late after a long drive, let us know and we will make sure everything is straightforward when you get here.
Is the pool really available all year?
Yes. The indoor pool at The Preserve Pool Lodge is heated and open 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Rain, snow or an August heatwave, you can swim. There is also a hot tub out on the deck with mountain views.
Can we bring our dog?
Yes — up to two house-trained dogs are allowed at The Preserve Pool Lodge and Star Ridge Cabin. They should be up to date on vaccinations and flea and tick prevention.
How far are the main attractions?
This can vary with each cabin. All cabins provide easy access to Dollywood and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Feel free to send us a message for more specific details.
Is there a security deposit?
Yes, for The Preserve Pool Lodge. A $300 security deposit is collected after booking through our secure checkout.
Anything to know about winter travel?
The roads are paved and well maintained, and easy in the warmer months. During winter, four wheel drive is highly recommended. Mountain weather moves fast — check the forecast the morning you travel.
How many can you sleep?
Our cabins sleep from eight up to twelve, depending on which one you choose, across two to four bedrooms.

Kelly. Five years hosting in the Smokies, Superhost status, and a reply usually within the hour. Not a call center.
