Where the extra comes from
Large booking platforms typically charge the guest a service fee on top of the nightly rate, and separately take a commission from the host. Both sit inside the total you pay. It is not hidden exactly — it is just added late, when you are already committed.
Those platforms do real work: reach, payment handling, a review system. But once you have already found the cabin you want, you are paying for a discovery service you no longer need.
What booking direct removes
Book through us and the platform’s guest service fee is not part of the equation. Neither is the commission. The saving on a week-long stay in a large Sevierville cabin is not loose change — it is a meal out for the whole group, or a full day of tickets.
What you still pay, clearly
We are not going to pretend there is nothing beyond the nightly rate. There is a cleaning fee, applicable taxes, a pet fee if you bring your dogs, and a $300 security deposit collected after booking through our secure checkout. All of it is visible before you confirm. The deposit is a deposit — it is not a charge.
